Spa Holiday Resort

By Justin Davey

Spa is a little town, with less than 11000 people, but is still well known as a city of a wide variety of distinctions. Spa is located in Belgium and is known to be Europe's oldest health resort, as well as being the world's first Casino. Simply Amazing.

Spa has quite an epic history behind it, as many greats from the history books have been thought to visit, such as Kings and great writers going all the way back to the 16th century, which was so long ago. Feeling thirsty? Not to worry, the healing natural mineral water of Spa, is bound to quench your thirst.

Although currently Spa does not attract such a wide crowd, it is still widely known for its bottled mineral water, which is still one of biggest sellers across the globe. Spa is still known for its cycling community and cross-country skiing, and the ice skating that takes place during the winters.

If you want to get in touch with history, then why not visit the Hotel Brittanique. It was once the headquarters of the German Kaiser during the 1st world war, now turned boarding school.

Although it is considered old fashioned, the town does in no way come up short in terms of having the ability to entertain its much loved tourist. With such a beautiful landscape and a culture to be mesmerised by, there is no reason why every moment cannot be cherished.

When eating out in Spa be sure to try some of their unique dishes and be introduced to a culture like no other. Treat you taste buds to something new, and when its all over, be sure to wash it all down with that all good and natural mineral water.

So if you are looking to get away, even if just for a weekend short break. Be sure to take full advantage of what is available on offer in Spa.
