Norwegian Cruise Line First In The Industry To Be Awarded Travel + Leisure Design Award
As a rule we don’t pay much attention to awards given to cruise lines and ships here at Cruise Diva. It’s difficult to determine whether they are legitimate and how the award recipients are arrived at. This one is different and we’re pleased to share the news that Norwegian Cruise Line is the first in the cruise industry to be honored by Travel + Leisure, the popular guide for world travelers

Three New “Legends in Concert” To Debut On Norwegian Epic
Let's hear it for a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. For years that's been the lip-sync contest song for female passenger participants during 50s 'n 60s parties at sea. Entertainment afloat has taken a different turn, though, and gone are the days of passengers impersonating Elvis and Aretha. It's now up to the pros, and Norwegian Cruise Line has just announced that the next installment of Legends in

Cruise Line Entertainment: Which Is The Best At Sea?
For years cruise lines have presented production shows described as Broadway-themed or Vegas-style entertainment. Their aspirations have been high, but seldom would they have been mistaken for the real thing. As a rule, cruise ship shows are quite entertaining and the performers range from good to excellent. Don't forget that "American Idol" finalist and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson got

New Cruise Review: Norwegian Epic
This was Vincent & Mary Finelli's seventh cruise on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship, but their 87th cruise overall. There have been a lot of changes in cruising since Vincent's first transatlantic sailing in 1956 on the Greek Line's Olympia, a 22,000 gross tons liner. Vincent says changes have occurred not only in the size of the ships, but in the activities and entertainments they feature. Norwegian

Three New “Legends In Concert” Debut on Norwegian Epic
It's time to shake things up a bit aboard Norwegian Epic. Elvis has left the ship and taken Madonna and Tina Turner with him, although we are assured the latter pair are still alive. With their departure, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that three new "legends" will take their place as part of the ship's Legends in Concert show. Starting this past weekend, the artists making appearances on

Norwegian Epic Is A Power Saver
Something very “green” on Norwegian Epic— that we’ve only seen in European hotels and on MSC ships—is a very cool power saving feature. When you enter your stateroom, you must insert your key card in a slot by the door that activates the stateroom lights. You have to remove your key when you leave in order to get back in and the lights won’t stay on when it’s out of the slot. Thus, it’s impossible

More Reasons to Cruise Aboard Norwegian Epic
When Norwegian Cruise Line introduced the "Freestyle Cruising" concept there were certainly many traditional cruisers who were aghast at the idea that they wouldn't necessarily be sitting at the same dinner table, with the same companions, and being served by the same wait staff every night.Other cruisers, like Cruise Diva, felt liberated. No longer would we have to suffer in silence as our

Norwegian Epic’s Ice Bar Will Serve SVEDKA Vodka IN Ice
What’s an ice bar? Forgive me for saying this, but it’s probably one of the coolest places I’ve ever enjoyed a drink. The one I’ve visited is in the Nordic Sea Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, but in a couple weeks I’ll be sipping my vodka in the rocks aboard Norwegian Epic. Here’s just a peek.Yes, it’s another first at sea and Norwegian Cruise Line has finally unveiled its vodka of choice for the ice
