Bird Watching In The Tropical North Region Of Australia

If you are planning on taking a holiday to the Tropical North Queensland region of Australia you will want to take along your binoculars and a camera to really take full advantage of the natural habitat that you will be exploring.

This region in Australia is know to have some of the best bird watching opportunities found anywhere. Whether you are staying in Daintree, Highlands or Cairns you will find that many of the accommodations have room balconies that overlook the rainforest. This allows for some of the greatest bird watching opportunities.

There are many lakes, parks and beaches, in additional to the wonderful rainforests in the Tropical North Queensland region. This makes the Tropical North Queensland on of the most populated locations for birds of various species. All of these places, plus the year round moderate temperatures, no matter when you visit you will be able to explores these birds as they stay in their habitat year round.

Some birds are more easily spotted during certain times of the year. The Channel Billed Cuckoo, Paradise Kingfisher and the Koel can be found easiest between October and April. This is also breeding season for birds which will give you the opportunity to see newborns hatching and mothers taking care of their young.
