That is not to say they are eyesores, but rather than Toronto has buildings from all styles and ages. Whereas a city like Bruges focuses on one period in time, Toronto has very different things like the CN Tower, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Distillery District. You could not find three site more different.
The district help with tourism. It tends to make things easier to find for visitors and it allows returning visitors to keep from being bored. There is too much to see in Toronto in a single visit, but since each area is so different, it is like seeing a new city every time.
Its parks are where Toronto can really stand out. As an environmentally friendly city, it has plenty of these. Cloud Gardens is a secretive park that is semi-enclosed and has an observatory. Few people even recognize what it is from the outside.
The culture is strong in Toronto. You would be amazed to know what a leading city it is in terms of the film industry. There are film festivals all the time, many leading actors (like Mike Meyers) hail from Toronto, it has great acting schools and a wonderful Shakespeare company. It ballet company is one of the best in the world, too.

Though hockey is without doubt the number one, there is also a strong movement for their other teams in baseball, football, soccer, and basketball. The Toronto Maple Leafs are arguably the finest hockey team in the world, making this a great destination for sports enthusiasts.
