Cast includes James Whitmore, Roscoe Lee Browne, Lenka Petersen, Sorrell Booke, Will Geer, Al Freeman, and Raymond Jacques.
Holiday came out 1938. First interpretation of Philip Barry's play in reference to non-conformity is a charming film. Johnny Case finds himself engaged to a millionaire's daughter and he must make a decision between a vocation in big business or living life as a holiday. 1938 version includes Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant among others.
The Meteor Man from 1993. Townsend plays a hesitant, nerdy school teacher with a fear of heights who gets hit by an strange emerald meteor that turns him into a superhero. Fantastic "Superman in the Hood" narrative, complete of good values, but very few truly funny moments. Cast includes Robert Townsend, Marla Gibbs, Eddie Griffin, Robert Guillaume, James Earl Jones, Roy Fegan, and Bill Cosby.
Adios Amigo came out in 1975. Strange western comedy, written, produced, and directed by Williamson, who in addition plays a part in the movie along with con guy Pryor. There is no sex or violence in this harmless film, but it just doesn't exactly work. Cast includes Fred Williamson, Richard Pryor, Thalmus Rasulala, James Brown, and Robert Phillips.
