Things That Annoy People On A Holiday

By Louis Jones

There could be several reasons for people taking holidays. However, most of these reasons reflect a need for change. Escaping to a retreat, or spending time away from routine life, and every day hassles, a respite from handling day-to-day issues are just some of the many reasons to look forward to a holiday. The idea of leaving all of the routine activities is appealing especially when you have nothing to do, and can spend your time the way you want. Getting bored is actually something that some people happen to look forward to.

One of the most annoying aspects about the natives of a tourist spot is their lack of understanding regarding the need for peace. Other than that, there are many other reasons that happen to vex the tourists. When things do not go their way, people tend to try harder to get the desired end result.

I think the most annoying as well as the most dreaded thing that can happen is that you get a call from work. This is a secret fear for most working individuals, who take a leave from their jobs to go enjoy some time off and relax.

The idea of a lack of cooperation on part of the local people with tourists is highly irksome. For example, in China, even if the local people are acquainted with English, they choose not to speak the language, and instead, continue their indifference with the tourists unless the tourist speaks in Chinese himself. This is a worldwide fact that has annoyed tourists in China who come from all over the world.

In Japan, for the longest of times, tourists were exasperated because the people of Japan suffered from Xenophobia, which is the fear of foreign people. This definitely made them stubborn. It could have lead to people getting lost and never being found. The idea is open to many possibilities.

When everyday moments tend to create nostalgia, it becomes a factor of irritation for the tourists. For instance, regarding tourists who visit the subway every single day, gets help from Germans, who themselves cannot speak good English. This tends to be a cause of irritation. In fact, the Germans act as if the tourist is someone they have never met before, despite seeing him daily.

It happens sometimes that when people leave their country for another place, they are very accustomed to their home situation, and culture. Adjusting to a different culture is difficult for them. Even standing in a queue to buy things is a factor of irritation for them as in their home country they are used to be given first preference. In addition, when they do not get that preferential treatment here, they are irritated.

When it comes to food, tourists are not very eager to sample the foreign delicacies. Either, it is regarding issues of digestion, or it does not suit their taste. Then the issue of time curfew comes that happens to be the trend in some countries. One of these countries is Iran where people take their meals, and snacks on time, so that they do not run hungry. Even when one arrives late at night in a foreign place, there is a possibility that he will run hungry, if he does not have munchies for himself.
