Hotel Stays And City Tours Are Always Included With An Orient Lines Package.

I sometimes can not believe the deals that are available through Orient Lines on the Marco Polo. I once asked a telephone rep if they were giving away their cruises because the promotions are just too good to be true - 2for1, free air, shipboard credits and past passenger.

Last December I sent a single cruiser on a 30 day cruise for a total of $2600US through exotic Africa, including flight, hotel and city tours. Averaging $88.00 a day for this once-in-a-lifetime voyage is absolutely unbelievable. I can't really remember how I found this price for her, but it probably just was a matter of being at the right time and the right place.

Marco Polo really has outstanding itineraries ranging from 7-day repositioning segments to 46-day South America cruise tours. For the months of April, May and early June it will be alternating routes between Western and Eastern Mediterranean, passing through some of the world's beautiful ports - Rome, Nice, Cannes, Athens, Dubrovnik, Istanbul and Venice.

Marco Polo will then start its Northern European segment. The #1 question I hear all the time about this itinerary is how long the ship stays on port at St. Petersburg, Russia. Marco Polo is one of the few cruise ships that will give you two full days to explore the Winter Palace, Sir Isaac Cathedral and other attractions. This itineraries also includes stops at the popular ports of Stockholm, Berlin, and Copenhagen.

South America and Antarctica will start in November until February of next year. I had a couple who were big Princess and Celebrity fans that took this cruise and came back with rave reviews - shore excursions were breathtaking, the crew very attentive - and will not hesitate to take another cruise aboard the Marco Polo.

Just a couple of things to remember when you travel on the Marco Polo:

Since this is an older class ship, it does not have any verandah accomodations. If you are requiring a suite for your cruise, book your cabin as soon as possible. There are only six suites available on this ship.

There is a maximum total of 826 passengers. Small ship feel. Big experience.

If you are travelling on a longer voyage over 7 days, remember that this ship does not have any laundry facilities.

Childrens facilities are not available such as babysitting, adjoining rooms, children's playroom, kiddie pool, youth program and teen centers.

Marco Polo is single cruiser friendly. Single occupancy cabins and single share program are available.

Norwegian Cruise Lines and Orient Lines are sister ships. If you have sailed with Norwegian before, you can qualify for the past passenger rate promotion if it is available for your sailing.

And before you book, always ask your agent if there are deals available such as 2for1, free airfaire, ship board credit available for your cruise!
